The Great Imperial Cow Race

The Great Imperial Cow Race is a Castro-wide, solo or team-based scavenger hunt designed to celebrate The Castro’s rich queer history while raising funds for LYRIC.
Participants form teams and travel across iconic LGBTQ+ landmarks, solving clues and completing creative challenges. The event blends gameplay, performance, storytelling, and community engagement into a high-energy fundraising experience.
The event concludes with a celebration and awards ceremony at The Midnight Sun where trophies will be awarded to the race winner, best costume and best team name. There will be 3-4 performances as part of the celebration.
Event Experience & Route
Teams begins outside Twin Peaks and navigate through a curated route of historically significant locations throughout the Castro district. Teams will have 3 hours to finish a series of 10 clues and will need to take photographic evidence that they have solved the clue. Gameplay will all be done through a single app that can be accessed on teams electronic devices. Trophies will be provided for winners that finish the race with the best time, best team costumes, and best team name. Winners for best team costume and best team name will be decided by a panel of judges TBD. The race will conclude at The Midnight Sun where winners will receive prizes and enjoy 3-4 performances from members of our community.

SILENCE!
SILENCE! — An Immersive Drag Experience
Hosted by Miss Gay San Francisco, Anastasia Di’Nitta
This is not your typical drag show. This is a full sensory experience where the music is still playing, the energy is undeniable, and the way you experience it is completely transformed.
SILENCE! invites you into a space where drag, Deaf culture, and connection take center stage. Whether you hear the music or feel it, you are part of the show. Earplugs will be provided for those who can hear, offering a unique opportunity to shift perspective and engage with the performance in a new way. Interpreters will be on site, ensuring accessibility while also making ASL a living, breathing part of the experience.
And trust, Anastasia Di’Nitta is not here to give you anything basic.
Expect high glamour, precision, attitude, and just enough chaos to keep you on your toes. Throughout the show, you will be introduced to ASL in a way that is fun, flirty, and sometimes a little inappropriate. You might come for the looks, but you will leave knowing how to say something you probably should not.
This is about more than performance. It is about presence. It is about feeling every beat, every movement, every expression in a deeper way. It is about stepping into a space that is intentionally inclusive, unapologetically queer, and rooted in community.
The vibe is intimate but electric. The kind of room where everyone is locked in, fully engaged, and feeding off each other’s energy.
